New Ford Fiesta 2011 Updates

October 25th 2011 : Ford India is expected to launch a new automatic version of Ford Fiesta by November. It is being speculated that the American car major will release the automatic variant in both petrol and diesel options. Though the price is yet to be announced but the speculations are rife that there will be a difference of about Rs 50,000 - Rs 75000 over the manual version.

Overall : The US car maker Ford is the 6th largest car maker in India next to prominent car makers including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and Chevrolet. Ford India’s journey began in 1907 with Ford Model A and it officially begun production in 1996. In the beginning, Ford had a tie up with Mahindra but later Ford increased its share and began operating as Ford India Private Ltd in October 1995. Ford India has a manufacturing facility at Chennai. Ford’s 2011 new Ford Fiesta is the new version of its Fiesta sedan.


Ford Fiesta Classic is currently available as the sedan offering by Ford. The new Ford Fiesta is a premium class mid-size sedan that heavily banks on new communication features inside, quieter interiors, head-turning style, advanced drive, unmatched safety, power and high fuel economy. The New Ford Fiesta is the first in the series of eight launches by Ford India in the next four years. Three factors differentiate it with other cars of the same segment following its kinetic design, loads of first in class features and outstanding communication ease on the go. The New Ford Fiesta is available in Style, Trend, Titanium and Titanium Plus variants available in both diesel and petrol options. 

 The petrol engine is a 1.5 L Ti-VCT and the diesel is a 1.5 L Duratorq TDCi engine. Ford India offers the New Ford Fiesta in seven trendy colors . All-New Fiesta Style starts at Rs 823,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and goes up to Rs. 10,42,200 for the top-of-the-line Ford Fiesta Titanium Plus. The Global car Fiesta has won 72 auto awards since its launch worldwide and it has greatly been Indianized. Ford has sold over over one million Ford Fiesta's worldwide. As part of its making it suitable for Indian roads, Ford has put in new engines, suspension, interiors and fuel efficiency in order to match the expectations of the Indian car buyer. The Ford Fiesta is being built at Ford's manufacturing facility located in Chennai.
