Nissan NV200 2WD

Nissan has once again proved itself for it has unveiled a mind blowing design of a “concept car”.  Though it looks like a Van, inspection reveals that the new model is definitely different from a simple van on wheels.
The Nissan NV 200 has been designed by the joint venture of Nissan Design Center (NDC) Japan and Nissan Design Europe and it claims to turn around the light Commercial Vehicle Market. The world first got a glance of Nissan NV 200 as NV 200 Concept, revealed in the 2007 Tokyo Motor show.
It is expected that in the Indian Market the Nissan NV 200 will be considered an MPV and would consequently compete with the big players in the same segment. Market analysts are expecting a fierce competition with the current market leader Toyota Innova. Then there is going to be steep competition with Suzuki APV which is also expected to hit the market also in 2010. So, in addition to Nissan small cars, Nissan NV 200 is all set to woo the market.
Nissan has not yet quoted any price but it appears that Nissan is aiming at the rich as its customer for this car. The engine is expected to be Renault Logan’s 1500 cc diesel engine having a power of 85hp and delivers torque of 200 Nm.
In addition to the above mentioned features, the Nissan NV 200 has some obvious features like power steering and rear leaf spring.
The Nissan NV 200 will be an impressive entry into Indian market and will be produced in collaboration with Ashok Leyland.
