Feast your eyes on the first official images of the newly facelifted Hyundai Genesis Coupe. The Korean muscle car will debut at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2012.
And the images which appeared on Hyundai Worldwide’s Facebook page are something of a damage limitation exercise.
We're not sure this is, in fact, the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, but it purports to be, and given the consistency across the three leaked images, it seems highly likely.
The latest image comes to us by way ofTheCarBlogger.net. Previous leaks of the2013 Genesis Coupe, including one via Hyundai Blog, show essentially identical cars, and with SEMA past and no similar-looking car on display, we think this is the upcoming production model.

Unfortunately, there's no information or details on the car to go with it. Our best guess as to what will lie beneath the 2013 Genesis Coupe's sheetmetal is that it will keep the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder and 3.8-liter V-6 in the current model, though the V-6 is likely to get a bump in output to match the 333 horsepower and 291 pound-feet of the same unit in the 2012 Hyundai Genesis Sedan. That's a 27-horsepower increase, and enough to keep it on par with much more expensive alternatives like the 370Z and Infiniti G37.
A rumored V-8 model paired with an eight-speed automatic could also be in the works, much like the OEM-looking RM500 shown at SEMA, but there's been no official word on that idea yet.
