Used Car Buying Tips

Welcome! Use the menu to the left for tips on how not to get ripped off during any aspect of the used car buying process. Let's face it, buying a new or used car is a daunting process- one that not many people like to undertake. From fear of paying too much to fear of buying a lemon, if you go in unarmed, your fears are probably justified. We are not looking to discredit any particular piece of the industry, just arm you with enough information to be an educated consumer. Obviously we cannot cover everything here, but we have solicited tips from knowledgeable people in each area and believe the tips found on this site to be of tremendous value.
Our Used Cars area will give specific examples of what to listen and look for when you view and test drive your next used car. Has the car been in an accident? What is that noise? We'll introduce you to services that can tell you cars entire history and show you tell-tale signs of accidents, potential problems and what problems may not be such a big deal.
Our New Cars area provides you with information about how to purchase a new car online, while obtaining the lowest possible price. Factory and extended warranty information is also outlined in this section.
Our Financing area will offer tips on selecting the right loan term for your circumstance.
During the last few years, a new option has become more common - Leasing used cars that are just off lease and are only two or three years old. This is a viable option for those without a large down payment, or those who are looking to get into a newer car, but cannot pay that much.
Insurance plays a large part in the process as well, with many purchases dependent upon what the insurance rates are in addition to the cost of the car.
Included in DMV Services is the ability to obtain your driving record online within 15 minutes in most states. Dmv forms are available as well as a dmv location in your state.
Our Negotiating section provides you with valuable information necessary to negotiate the best deal on your new or used car purchase.
